Refreshing Yame Sencha Made for Cold Brewing
Enjoy refreshing Japanese sencha with a brewing method designed for simplicity. Add the tea bags to cold water, refrigerate, and enjoy a smooth, vibrant cup of Yame green tea.
Produced by Hoshino Seichaen in Yame, Fukuoka, each spacious mesh tea bag contains 5g of Japanese green tea. The triangular shape gives the tea leaves room to expand and release their flavor gradually in cold water.
Cold brewing brings out sencha’s naturally refreshing character while keeping bitterness and astringency gentle. These versatile tea bags can also be brewed with hot water, served over ice, or placed directly into a reusable water bottle.

Brewing Instructions
Cold Brew — Manufacturer’s Recommendation
- If the tea bags have tags, remove them.
- Place two tea bags in a pitcher or bottle with 34 fl oz (1 liter) of fresh water.
- Refrigerate for approximately two hours.
- Serve over ice.
Gently stir or shake before serving if tea sediment settles at the bottom.
Important: For the best quality and freshness, enjoy cold-brewed tea within 24 hours.
Overnight Cold Brew — Luna Matcha Recommendation
For a deeper flavor, place one tea bag in approximately 17 fl oz (500ml) of cold water and refrigerate overnight. For a 34 fl oz (1-liter) pitcher, use two tea bags.
The tea bag may remain in the water until you are ready to serve. Stir or shake gently before drinking to distribute any tea sediment evenly.
With Hot Water
- Place one tea bag in a teapot or large mug.
- Add approximately 17–18 fl oz (500ml) of hot water at 158–176°F (70–80°C).
- Allow the tea to infuse until it reaches your preferred strength.
- For a stronger flavor, gently stir with a spoon.
One tea bag makes approximately five to six small Japanese teacups or one large serving.
For a Portable Bottle
- If the tea bag has a tag, remove it.
- Place one tea bag in a 17 fl oz (500ml) bottle of water.
- Shake gently and allow the tea to infuse.
- The tea bag may remain in the bottle while you drink.
For the best flavor: Soft, still water is recommended.
